Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE). Teach students from classes VI to X, covering subjects like History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, and activities to make learning interactive and student-centered. Assess students' progress through tests, assignments, projects, and class participation. Maintain proper records of students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback. Encourage students to develop analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Organize and guide co-curricular activities related to Social Science such as debates, quizzes, and exhibitions. Use modern teaching techniques (ICT tools, smart boards, audio-visual aids) for effective learning. Ensure classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to school improvement activities. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' progress and concerns. Prepare students for internal/external examinations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Arts (B.A.) with specialization in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory. Good command over English and Hindi (as per school requirement). Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle adolescents with patience and empathy. Proficiency in using technology for teaching.
