Role Overview
The Social Studies Teacher will educate and inspire students to develop a strong understanding of history, geography, political science, and economics under the CBSE curriculum. The role aims to foster critical thinking, civic awareness, and a sense of responsibility among learners by connecting classroom knowledge with real-world contexts. The teacher will guide students to analyze, question, and interpret events and social systems, preparing them to be informed, empathetic, and engaged citizens.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery:
Teach Social Studies subjects as per the CBSE curriculum, ensuring conceptual clarity and cross-disciplinary connections.
Lesson Planning:
Design and implement lesson plans that promote inquiry, discussion, and experiential learning using case studies, projects, and current events.
Assessment & Feedback:
Conduct formative and summative assessments; evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback for academic growth.
Skill Development:
Foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and interpretive skills through classroom discussions, debates, and research-based projects.
Civic and Cultural Awareness:
Encourage understanding of democratic values, constitutional principles, and socio-economic diversity.
Student Engagement:
Motivate students to participate in inter-house quizzes, exhibitions, and social awareness programs.
Documentation:
Maintain lesson plans, student records, and reports as per school standards.

between first and subsequent internal assessments.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics.
Professional Qualification:
B.Ed. (mandatory).
Experience:
Prior teaching experience in CBSE curriculum preferred.
