Job Summary

We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging

TGT Social Studies Teacher

to teach Grades 6 to 10 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge across History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, and the ability to make social concepts relevant, interactive, and meaningful for students.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured Social Studies lessons for Grades 6-10 in line with the CBSE curriculum. Teach core topics across History, Geography, Civics (Political Science), and Economics as prescribed by CBSE. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills through debates, case studies, maps, and project work. Prepare students for internal assessments and the Grade 10 CBSE board examination, as applicable. Design and evaluate worksheets, assignments, projects, and periodic assessments. Use maps, charts, timelines, and digital resources to enhance conceptual understanding. Maintain lesson plans, student progress records, and academic documentation. Collaborate with faculty members for interdisciplinary planning and academic initiatives. Participate actively in school events, exhibitions, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics / Social Sciences with B.Ed (mandatory).
Experience

Minimum

2-4 years

of teaching experience in Grades 6-10 at a CBSE or equivalent school.
Skills

Strong command over Social Studies concepts and curriculum alignment. Ability to explain topics using maps, timelines, real-world examples, and discussions. Familiarity with CBSE assessment patterns and Grade 10 board preparation. Ability to design engaging activities, projects, and assessments. Basic proficiency with digital tools and smart classroom technology.
Accommodation & Facilities

Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff. Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary. School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted. Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
