Job Description

A TGT in Sociology is a teaching professional who specializes in teaching sociology to students in classes VII to X Their primary responsibilities include: 1. Teaching Sociology: Delivering lectures, conducting discussions, and engaging students in learning sociological concepts, theories, and perspectives. 2. Curriculum Development: Developing and implementing curriculum plans, lesson plans, and assessments that align with educational standards and board requirements. 3. Assessment and Evaluation: Conducting exams, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate students' understanding and progress in sociology. 4. Classroom Management: Maintaining a disciplined and conducive learning environment, managing classroom activities, and ensuring student participation. 5. Mentorship: Guiding and mentoring students, providing individual support, and helping them develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of social structures and relationships. 6. Promoting Critical Thinking: Encouraging students to think critically about social issues, cultural norms, and institutional structures. 7. Professional Development: Staying updated with the latest developments in sociology, educational methodologies, and technology to enhance teaching effectiveness. 8. Administrative Tasks: Maintaining records, submitting reports, and performing other administrative duties as required by the school.
