We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Studies Teacher to educate students in subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. The ideal candidate will inspire critical thinking, promote civic responsibility, and foster an appreciation for diverse cultures and societies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
Teach subjects including History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
Use a variety of teaching methods to meet different learning styles and abilities.
Promote critical thinking and discussion around social, political, and historical issues.
Prepare students for assessments and assist in test preparation.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Evaluate and document student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives.
Stay updated on current events and integrate them into teaching where appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or related field.
B.Ed or equivalent teaching certification (if required by region/country).
Prior teaching experience preferred (1-3 years minimum).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for teaching and mentoring young minds.
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and remote learning platforms is a plus.
