Qualifications & Requirements:

For TGT & PGT Geography

Education

: Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Geography + B.Ed (mandatory)

Experience

: Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience at Secondary level & senior secondary level

Curriculum Knowledge

: In-depth knowledge of ISCE & ISC of Geography syllabus

Skills

: Classroom management, Lesson planning, strong communication, use of teaching aids/technology

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Delivery

Deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the ICSE& ISC curriculum. Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to students and parents. Design and administer formative and summative assessments.

2. Classroom Management

Maintain discipline in accordance with school rules and regulations. Promote positive behavior and manage student conduct effectively. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.

3. Student Development

Identify and support students with learning challenges or special needs. Encourage student participation in geography-related activities and competitions. Act as a mentor and role model to students, promoting holistic growth.

4. Co-curricular & Departmental Contributions

Organize educational trips, model-making, exhibitions, and geography quizzes. Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development workshops. Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary projects.
