Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Delivery

Teach Mathematics to classes assigned as per the CBSE curriculum. Prepare structured lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids. Integrate NEP 2020 guidelines, activity-based learning, and experiential learning strategies. Ensure coverage of syllabus within timelines.

2. Classroom Instruction

Conduct engaging and concept-focused classes. Use real-life examples, models, and digital tools to simplify abstract concepts. Encourage problem-solving, analytical thinking, and mathematical reasoning.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

Prepare question papers, assignments, and periodic tests as per CBSE assessment norms. Conduct formative and summative assessments. Maintain student performance records and provide constructive feedback. Identify learning gaps and provide remedial classes when needed.

4. Student Development

Motivate students to develop interest and confidence in Mathematics. Train students for Olympiads, NTSE, quiz competitions, and other academic contests. Offer academic counselling and support to struggling learners.

5. Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment. Ensure safety and emotional well-being of students.

6. Professional Responsibilities

Attend staff meetings, workshops, and CBSE/School training programs. Participate in school events, PTMs, exhibitions, and academic planning meetings. Maintain professional ethics and follow all school policies.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics as a major subject. B.Ed. with specialization in Mathematics (mandatory for CBSE). CTET (Paper II) qualification preferred.

Strong subject knowledge and ability to simplify complex topics. Effective communication and classroom management skills. Proficiency with smart classroom tools and basic educational technology. Patience, empathy, and passion for teaching. Ability to engage diverse learners and differentiate instruction.
