The Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students of Classes 11 and 12. The teacher must ensure a deep conceptual understanding of advanced mathematics topics, prepare students for board exams and competitive entrance tests, and cultivate a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, logical reasoning, and mathematical excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a subject expert with a track record of effective teaching, classroom engagement, and academic results. This role requires commitment to professional ethics, dedication to student success, and the use of innovative teaching methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:Instructional Delivery:
Plan and execute engaging lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
Teach advanced Mathematics topics such as:
Calculus (Limits, Derivatives, Integrals, Applications)
Algebra, Trigonometry, and Coordinate Geometry
Probability and Statistics
Vector Algebra and 3D Geometry
Linear Programming and Relations & Functions
Design learning materials, worksheets, and activities that promote critical thinking and application.
Use technology (smart boards, educational software, simulations, etc.) to enhance teaching delivery.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Conduct formative and summative assessments, including unit tests, assignments, projects, and mock exams.
Analyze students' performance data to identify gaps and implement remedial teaching where necessary.
Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and areas for improvement.
Classroom Management & Student Engagement:
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote discipline and mutual respect.
Inspire students to participate in mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, and other co-curricular competitions.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the review and development of the school's Mathematics curriculum.
Align lesson plans and teaching strategies with evolving education standards and examination formats.
Professional Development & Collaboration:
Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest teaching practices and curriculum changes.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects, school events, and academic fairs.
Mentor junior staff or new teachers as required.
Parent and School Communication:
Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss student progress and academic planning.
Maintain regular communication with parents via emails, school portals, and telephonic updates when needed.
Coordinate with school counselors for students requiring academic or emotional support.
