The TGT - EVS is responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to middle school students (typically Classes VI-VIII), fostering awareness of environmental concepts, sustainability, and responsible citizenship through engaging and activity-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver EVS lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
Develop lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
Use interactive and experiential teaching methods (activities, discussions, field-based learning).
Evaluate students' academic performance through tests, assignments, and projects.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
Encourage environmental awareness, critical thinking, and real-life application of concepts.
Participate in school activities, assemblies, exhibitions, and field trips.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Participate in professional development programs, trainings, and staff meetings.
