English Teacher

in a CBSE school plays a vital role in developing students' language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. They are responsible for fostering a love for literature, enhancing communication skills, and ensuring students meet the curriculum standards set by CBSE.

Design lesson plans based on the

NCERT syllabus

and CBSE guidelines. Teach grammar, literature, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension effectively. Integrate technology and interactive methods into lessons. Prepare and evaluate

formative (FA)

and

summative assessments (SA)

as per

CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation)

norms (or any revised pattern). Maintain student records and provide feedback for improvement. Ensure the learning objectives outlined in the CBSE curriculum are met. Integrate CBSE-recommended

competency-based learning

and

experiential learning

approaches. Maintain attendance and academic records. Coordinate with parents during PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings). Participate in school events, training, and workshops as required.

Professional Development

Stay updated with CBSE circulars, curriculum updates, and pedagogical advancements. Attend in-service training and capacity-building programs organized by

CBSE/COEs (Centers of Excellence)

Qualifications Required

Educational Qualification:

B.A./M.A. in English

(Mandatory)

B.Ed

(Bachelor of Education) - Required for teaching in CBSE schools CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) qualification is preferred

Experience:

Prior CBSE school experience of 3 years to 5 years in teaching English is a must.
