Job Summary:



We are seeking a passionate and qualified

TGT English Teacher

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English at the secondary level (grades 6-10), promoting language skills, and fostering a love for literature. The candidate should have strong communication skills, an ability to engage students, and a deep understanding of the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:



Teaching and Curriculum Delivery

: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English in accordance with the school's curriculum. Teach grammar, literature, comprehension, and writing skills. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through literature analysis and essay writing. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate.

Assessment and Evaluation

: Evaluate student performance through regular tests, quizzes, assignments, and class participation. Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their language skills. Maintain detailed records of students' progress and academic achievements.

Classroom Management

: Establish and maintain discipline in the classroom. Address any behavioral issues in a fair and professional manner. Ensure that students respect classroom rules and guidelines.

Extra-Curricular Activities

: Encourage students to participate in English-related extra-curricular activities such as debates, drama, storytelling, and poetry recitations. Support school events such as English day, literary fests, etc.

Parental Communication

: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and development. Attend parent-teacher meetings and provide insights into students' academic and personal growth.

Professional Development

: Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and trends in the English language. Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions as required.

Key Qualifications:



Educational Qualification

: Bachelor's degree in English or related field. A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification.

Experience

: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in a school setting (preferably with secondary school students). Experience in preparing students for English exams like CBSE/ICSE/IB (if applicable).

Skills

: Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken). Strong classroom management skills. Ability to develop and implement a structured lesson plan. Proficiency in using technology in the classroom. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Personal Attributes:



Passionate about teaching and committed to student development. Creative, adaptable, and able to engage students of varying learning abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Salary:



Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation available for outstation candidate.
