Job Summary

We are seeking an articulate and passionate

TGT English Teacher

to teach Grades 6 to 10 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong command over the English language, sound knowledge of literature and grammar, and the ability to develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured English lessons for Grades 6-10 in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. Teach prose, poetry, drama, grammar, and writing skills as prescribed by CBSE. Develop students' reading comprehension, vocabulary, and language fluency. Train students in creative writing, essay writing, and formal writing formats required for assessments. Prepare students for internal assessments and the Grade 10 CBSE board examination, as applicable. Design and evaluate worksheets, assignments, speaking activities, and periodic tests. Encourage class discussions, debates, presentations, and reading habits. Maintain lesson plans, student progress records, and assessment documentation. Collaborate with faculty members for academic planning and interdisciplinary initiatives. Participate actively in school events, literary activities, assemblies, and co-curricular programmes.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in English / Literature with B.Ed (mandatory).
Experience

Minimum

2-4 years

of teaching experience in Grades 6-10 at a CBSE or equivalent school.
Skills

Excellent command over spoken and written English. Strong knowledge of CBSE English curriculum and assessment patterns. Ability to engage students through discussions, storytelling, and interactive activities. Competence in lesson planning, evaluation, and classroom management. Basic proficiency with digital tools and smart classroom technology.
Accommodation & Facilities

Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff. Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary. School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted. Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
