The TGT Computer Science Teacher is responsible for teaching
Computer Science and Information Technology
to students of
Classes 6 to 10
, focusing on both
theoretical knowledge and practical skills
as per the school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Computer Science subjects as per
CBSE/State Board syllabus
Explain concepts such as
computer fundamentals, programming basics, networks, and data handling
Conduct
practical sessions
in the computer lab
Teach basic programming languages (Scratch / Python / HTML - as per syllabus)
Ensure
cyber safety and responsible digital behavior
among students
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments
Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records
Maintain discipline and safety in the computer lab
Coordinate with IT staff for system maintenance
Participate in school activities, training, and meetings
Required Qualifications:
Graduate in Computer Science / IT / Computer Applications
(MCA / M.Sc CS / M.Tech / BE - CS/IT)
B.Ed mandatory
(as per CBSE norms)
CTET / State TET preferred
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong subject knowledge in
Computer Science
Good command over programming basics
Effective classroom and lab management
Strong communication and explanation skills
Basic troubleshooting knowledge
Experience
1-3 years of teaching experience preferred
