Job Summary:

The TGT Chemistry is responsible for teaching Chemistry to secondary school students (Classes VI-X), developing foundational chemical concepts, and promoting scientific thinking through theory and practical work. The teacher will ensure effective curriculum delivery, assessment, and student mentoring.

Teaching & Academic Responsibilities

Teach

Chemistry

to Classes VI-X as per the prescribed curriculum Plan and deliver engaging, concept-based lessons using effective teaching strategies Explain chemical principles, reactions, and applications in a clear, age-appropriate manner Integrate real-life examples and demonstrations into classroom teaching Prepare students for school examinations and assessments

Laboratory & Practical Work

Plan, conduct, and supervise Chemistry practicals and experiments Ensure safe handling, storage, and maintenance of laboratory chemicals and equipment Guide students in maintaining lab records, projects, and investigatory work

Assessment & Evaluation

Prepare worksheets, assignments, and question papers Conduct tests and evaluate student performance Maintain accurate academic records and progress reports Provide timely feedback, remedial teaching, and enrichment support

Student Development

Encourage curiosity, observation, and scientific reasoning Identify learning gaps and support students through extra classes or guidance Mentor students for science exhibitions, quizzes, and competitions

School Responsibilities

Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and workshops Assist in examinations, school events, and co-curricular activities Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress Maintain discipline and a safe, positive classroom environment

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry / Science (B.Sc.)

B.Ed.

(mandatory as per board norms)

Experience

Minimum

2-4 years

of teaching experience at secondary level (preferred) Freshers with strong subject knowledge may be considered

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of Chemistry concepts Ability to conduct practicals safely and confidently Effective classroom management and communication skills Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classrooms Student-centered and innovative teaching approach

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation available for outstation candidate.
