Plan, organize, and oversee the entire textile manufacturing process.
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met.
Allocate resources (machinery, manpower, materials) efficiently.
Monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks or delays.
2. Quality Control & Assurance
Implement and enforce quality standards for yarn, fabric, dyeing, printing, and finishing.
Conduct regular inspections to detect defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
Work with QC teams to minimize rejections and wastage.
3. Team & Workforce Management
Supervise supervisors, operators, technicians, and support staff.
Provide training on new machinery, processes, and safety protocols.
Manage shift planning, performance evaluations, and employee motivation.
4. Machinery & Technical Operations
Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and calibration of textile machinery.
Recommend upgrades or new technology to improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot technical issues during production.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
Maintain adequate stock of raw materials (fiber, yarn, dyes, chemicals).
Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and logistics teams.
Reduce material shortages and optimize inventory levels.
6. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor production costs, labor costs, and material consumption.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without affecting quality.
Prepare and manage department budgets.
7. Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental norms, and labor laws.
Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
Promote sustainable practices (waste reduction, energy efficiency, eco-friendly processes).
8. Process Improvement
Optimize production workflows using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methods.
Introduce new techniques to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
Analyze production data and prepare improvement reports.
9. Customer & Vendor Interaction
Coordinate with clients for specifications, approvals, and delivery schedules.
Handle customer complaints related to product quality or delivery.
Manage vendor relationships for raw materials and machinery.
10. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of production, quality reports, manpower, and machine performance.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
Track KPIs like efficiency, defects, wastage, and delivery performance.
