Physically and technically analyze sample fabrics received from buyers, designers, or R&D. Determine fabric

fiber content

(cotton, polyester, viscose, blends, etc.) Examine

yarn type, count, twist, ply

, and

blend ratio

Identify

fabric construction

- ends per inch (EPI), picks per inch (PPI), weave pattern, GSM, and cover factor. Analyze

fabric finish and feel

Maintain a record of all developed fabrics with technical specifications
