Develop new fabric designs, surface patterns, embroidery layouts, and color themes
Create artwork using CAD software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and textile design software
Research fashion trends, colors, themes, and customer preferences
Prepare mood boards, design concepts, and seasonal collections
Work closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams
Modify and improve designs based on buyer feedback
Select yarns, fabrics, dyes, and print techniques
Prepare strike-offs, lab dips, and sample approvals
Maintain design libraries, swatches, and artwork records
Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and production feasibility
Support bulk production with design clarifications
Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field
Strong knowledge of fabrics, weaves, printing, dyeing, and embroidery
Proficiency in design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD tools)
Good understanding of textile production processes
Creativity, color sense, and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience
1 to 5 years of experience in textile design (woven, knitted, printed, or embroidered fabrics preferred)
