Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior software engineer to drive out the Beedoo development work which uses Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Resource will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the application by leading a team of Software engineers, implementing effective development strategies, and fostering collaboration with development and product stakeholders. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality code.




Responsibilities:


Lead and mentor a team of SW engineers, providing guidance on BDD, UI testing best practices, and career development.


Implement BDD frameworks using Gherkin syntax for UI and API testing.


Develop and maintain test scripts, leveraging expertise in inspecting UI elements using network tab in browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Tools).


Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into code.


Manage and coordinate development tasks, ensuring timely completion and effective allocation of resources.


Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, providing regular updates on development and maintenance progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.


Contribute to the selection and implementation of appropriate coding standards, tools and technologies.


Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability aspects of the application.


Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks or challenges to development efforts.


Required Skills:


Proven experience in software development, with a focus on BDD framework.


Strong understanding of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) principles and experience implementing BDD frameworks.


Proficiency in Gherkin syntax for writing clear and concise test scenarios.


Expertise in using browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Tools) to inspect UI elements, analyze network traffic, and debug web applications.


Strong Experience with Java, Guitar, Gherkin language.


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team of SW engineers.


Experience in managing and coordinating testing tasks and communicating with stakeholders.


Experience with API tools and techniques.
