Job Summary:

The Testing Trainee / Intern Engineer (Mechanical) will assist the testing team in performing mechanical and functional testing of components, assemblies, and products. The role provides hands-on exposure to mechanical testing methods, data collection, analysis, and report preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and conducting mechanical and performance tests on components and systems. Support in preparing test fixtures, instruments, and setups as per testing requirements. Record, analyze, and document test data accurately. Support calibration and maintenance of testing instruments and equipment. Help in preparing technical test reports and presentations. Follow standard testing procedures and maintain safety compliance in the testing lab. Coordinate with design and production teams to provide feedback based on testing outcomes. Learn and apply testing standards (ASTM, ISO, BIS, etc.) relevant to the projects.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Basic understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and testing principles. Familiar with instruments such as UTM, hardness testers, pressure/vibration testers (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Eagerness to learn new testing methodologies and tools.
