Job Summary

The Panel Testing Engineer is responsible for

inspection, testing, and validation of electrical and automation control panels

to ensure compliance with approved drawings, standards, and customer specifications before dispatch and site installation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

pre-power and power testing

of LT panels, PCC, MCC, PLC panels, VFD panels, APFC panels, and control panels Verify

wiring as per GA, schematic, and loop drawings

Check panel components (MCB, MCCB, ACB, contactors, relays, PLC, VFD, SMPS, terminals, etc.) Conduct

continuity, insulation resistance (IR), and voltage tests

Carry out I/O checking for PLC panels

Test interlocks, protections, alarms, indications, and control logic

Support PLC, HMI, VFD basic functional testing (coordination with automation engineer)

Ensure panels comply with IEC, IS, Schneider Electric standards and internal quality norms

Identify non-conformities and coordinate for rectification

Maintain test reports, checklists, and FAT documents

Skills & Knowledge Required

Strong knowledge of

electrical control wiring & schematics

Hands-on experience with

PLC panels (Schneider preferred)

Familiarity with

VFDs, soft starters, protection relays

Knowledge of

electrical safety practices

Multimeter, Megger, clamp meter Basic knowledge of

PLC software (EcoStruxure / Unity / Control Expert - advantage)

MS Excel / Word for reports Good communication with internal teams and clients Ability to work under deadlines

Qualification

Diploma / BE in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Instrumentation/Mechatronics

Preferred Experience

Control panel manufacturing industry Schneider Electric components & systems Automation & industrial projects

Other Requirements:

Willingness to work extended hours if necessary.
Candidate should know Hindi/ English
