Job Summary:
The Testing Engineer will be responsible for testing and validating Current Transformers (CT) and Potential Transformers (PT) as per industry standards. The candidate should have hands-on experience with testing equipment and must ensure that all products meet quality and safety requirements before dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and type testing of CT & PT units as per IS/IEC standards.
Operate testing instruments like HV tester, Tan Delta kit, Ratio meter, Winding resistance meter, Insulation resistance tester, etc.
Record and maintain accurate test results and prepare test reports.
Identify testing issues, troubleshoot, and coordinate with production/QC team for corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Maintain testing logs, calibration records, and equipment health.
Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) during customer visits.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean testing environment.
Skills Required:
Good understanding of electrical fundamentals, especially transformers.
Ability to handle testing equipment safely and accurately.
Basic knowledge of CT/PT manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good documentation and report preparation skills.
