Key Responsibilities:
Conduct testing and commissioning of HT/EHT substation equipment including:
CTs, PTs, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Power Transformers
Protection Relays (distance, differential, overcurrent, etc.)
Numerical and electromechanical relays (ABB, Siemens, GE, etc.)
Perform
primary & secondary injection tests
, insulation resistance (IR), contact resistance (CRM), and SF6 gas analysis.
Coordinate with OEMs, PGCIL engineers, and internal teams for final testing clearance.
Prepare testing reports, maintain documentation, and ensure safety protocols.
Support in
substation energization activities
and fault troubleshooting.
Ensure adherence to PGCIL technical specifications and timelines.
Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Minimum
2-5 years
of experience in testing of HT/EHT substations (220 kV and above)
Familiarity with testing kits such as Omicron, Megger, and secondary injection kits
Key Skills:
Knowledge of
PGCIL/POWERGRID standards
for testing
Relay logic & protection schemes
On-site documentation and reporting
Safety protocols and permit system at EHV substations
Readiness to travel and stay at project locations
Salary:
?25,000 - ?40,000/month (based on experience)
