Role

As the TESTING and VALIDATION -Team Lead Strain and Fatigue Testing you will part of the Testing and Validation team and will report to the TESTING and VALIDATION Head - Vehicle Testing.The purpose of your role will include Conducting the strain and fatigue testing of new models structural and body parts, the multi-sourcing parts,for vehicle validation & approval across all plants, part life estimation, failure analysis and analysis of internal & external failures/issues.

Your Roles and Responsibilitites will include-1)New Models, Multi-sourcing Strain Testing & Fatigue Life Prediction
Samples for establishing the life of the components & failure respectively
2)Infrastructure Buildup : Strengthening the infrastructure buildup for all models Strain/Fatigue Testing
3)Veh Test Method/Standards Preparation for Strain Testing and acceptance criteria related to EV ,Higher CC Models
4)Failure Analysis

A Day in the life

Day-to-Day Workings will include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders such as New Model Centre/New Project Team,Multi-Sourcing Team for spearheading Project Vehicle / Engine CTQ , Part Matrix and assembly related issues,Vehicle / Engine Component Testing & Protocols etc.

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Graduation in Engineering
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in new model development/testing (Must in Strain / Fatigue Life Testing)

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Product, process & systems knowledge, Drawings Understanding
• Product Testing knowledge (Good understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition
• Proficient with the Glyph works, design, LMS, GPS and accelerometer, strain gauges.
• Strain gauging, soldering, Welding parameters
• Fatigue failure theory, Strength of material and arithmetic calculation over the strength and design of machine elements.
