testing, commissioning, and protection system configuration
for electrical equipment in
HV/MV substations
.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
testing and commissioning
of electrical protection systems, relays, and switchgear.
Conduct
primary and secondary injection tests
for transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, and PTs.
Carry out
relay configuration, setting, and calibration
using standard testing equipment.
Prepare test reports and ensure compliance with project and client specifications.
Coordinate with site teams, clients, and vendors for smooth project execution.
Key Skills Required
Knowledge of
protection schemes
(overcurrent, differential, distance, earth fault, etc.)
Experience with
testing kits
such as
OMICRON, MEGGER, ISA, or Doble
Familiar with
IEC 61850
,
substation automation
, and
SCADA systems
Ability to interpret
electrical drawings and protection logic diagrams
Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in testing & commissioning
Gulf or international experience preferred (not mandatory)
