Role description

Role Proficiency:



Execute test scenarios with minimal supervision.



Outcomes:



Construct and execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for embedded systems based on test specifications or requirements

Ensure that new and revised modules or embedded systems perform to expectation

Document test results and report defects

Ensure meeting standards including usability performance reliability or compatibility

Construct test plans based on test specifications / requirements


Measures of Outcomes:



Timely completion of all task

Number of test cases / scripts developed in comparisons to the benchmark

Number of test cases / scripts executed in comparisons to the benchmark

Number of valid defects

Review Function and Software Test Specifications in the expected format.

Post team review in comparison with benchmark

Adherence to project quality processes as per demand.

Number of change requests worked on defects reported.

Adherence to Agile scrum process.

Requirements:



Understand the requirements and write the test specification; execute the tests

Certified in ISTQB

Identify testable models and create test plan document

Obtain signoff on test plan

Identify and create test cases and test data

Conduct Sanity testing for system readiness check

Execute test cases and scripts

Debug:



Able to isolate the root cause of the defects with a work around



Manage Defects:



Regression tests and defect analysis reporting



Status Reporting:



Report status of assigned tasks on daily basis. Comply with project related reporting standards and process



Document:



Document the test development and test result

Ability to review requirements to identify ambiguities

Ability to develop test plan based on identified embedded module

Aptitude in designing test cases scripts and requirements

Ability to apply techniques to design efficient test cases / script

Knowledge Examples:


Knowledge of testing tools and testing standards
+ Familiarity with tools relevant to embedded systems

+ Knowledge of testing types - unit integration system testing

+ Knowledge on CAN UDS protocol OS Automotive standards.

+ Understanding of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban

+ Knowledge on embedded C programming testing concepts python scripting exposures.

Additional Comments:

. Strong hands-on experience in OEM workshops, particularly in diagnostics and repair. 2. Understanding of vehicle communication protocols - CAN, UDS. 3. Extensive experience in OTX authoring using Grade-X or Xentry. 4. Solid knowledge of vehicle systems from a diagnostics and repair perspective. 5. Minimum of 3 years' experience in an OEM workshop or in developing diagnostic content using OTX.
