About the Role

Autobit Software Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Tester Engineer

with at least

2 years of hands-on experience

in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and user experience.

You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and the design team to identify, document, and resolve software defects, contributing directly to the delivery of robust and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute

comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts

based on functional and technical requirements. Perform

manual and automation testing

of web, mobile, and backend applications. Conduct

regression, integration, and system testing

to ensure high product reliability. Identify, log, and track bugs using tools such as

Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla

, and verify fixes. Collaborate with development and product teams to reproduce issues and verify resolutions. Execute

API testing

and validate data using

SQL queries

and database checks. Ensure all software releases meet functional, design, and performance expectations. Participate in

Agile/Scrum ceremonies

, providing QA feedback and risk assessments. Document test results and provide detailed quality reports for each release cycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience

in software testing or quality assurance roles. Strong understanding of

SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.

Hands-on experience in

manual testing

with exposure to

automation testing

(Selenium, Cypress, or similar). Proficiency in using

bug tracking tools

and

test case management systems.

Knowledge of

API testing tools

(e.g., Postman, Swagger). Familiarity with

database testing

and basic SQL queries. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Attention to detail and a passion for quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in

Agile/Scrum environments.

Exposure to

test automation frameworks

such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest. Knowledge of

performance and load testing

tools (e.g., JMeter). Basic programming/scripting knowledge in

Java, Python, or JavaScript.

ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification (a plus).
