The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

MN RAN NM has products that supports communication service providers (CSPs) with highly automated and scalable software for managing their 4G, 5G networks.

As 5G adds new layers of technical complexity, CSPs will require an intelligent management system to deal with the fast-increasing number of physical and virtual network events that will place heavy workloads on network operation centers.

What you will learn and contribute to

• Technical expert responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing, reviewing in his/her technical areas (e.g.several features/Automation areas).
• End to End technical ownership for his/her areas in testing
• Participate actively in planning, grooming, refinement, implementation and execution of tests within the frame of specific project
• Align Product Test Strategy with Automation and Continuous Integration Strategy to get fast feedback
• Design test environments with Applications, traffic and mimic customer environments
• Coach and lead the Team on E2E Test Principles, Automation & Execution
• Drive Quality improvement actions, propose and prioritize testability improvements.
• Ensure SW/HW meets quality criteria via execution of test cases, reporting discovered faults and supporting/driving faults correction deliveries
• Continuous analysis of the faults, escape defects and guide in the improvement actions.
• Act as a decision maker if there is ambiguity concerning test scope / interpretation of test results
• Lead RCA/EDA practices and propose improvement for issues escaping in own area

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

• Strong individual contributor with 8+ years of relevant test experience in EMS/NMS
• Experience in Test design, test case authoring, defect reporting managing defect lifecycle.
• Experience in testing SNMP based ( CLI, MIB browser)
• Knowledge of XML and SQL (Oracle, Postgres, Vertica)
• Strong test automation expertise (Selenium, Javscript, HTML5)
• Experience in scripting language (Shell / Python / PERL) and automation frameworks.
• Responsible for the e2e functional requirements, execution and quality.
• Responsible for the overall quality of the product in functional requirements.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Quality Center, DOORS, Pronto
• Knowledge on cloud native development and testing preferred.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Strong OSS domain know-how on Packet Core concepts
• Experience in Performance / Functional testing for products like NetAct, NSP, SAM etc
