About the Role:

The Test and QA engineer is a role within the Corporate Solutions Technology team. This role reports directly to the Senior Solutions Architect of a Product Area within CorSo. This role will work with the Testing Chapter Lead to drive on the ground, day to day activities of a team of Automation, Functional and Load testers supporting a particular application in the CorSo landscape.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the stability and efficient functioning of test automation frameworks (UI and API) by developing, executing, improving and maintaining the same
• Be able to effectively work on testing related responsibilities for one of the critical applications and drive the team's efforts towards maximum automation
• Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
• Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation wherever applicable.
• Work on all the day to day QA activities, track test artefacts, results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement.
• Work with the Testing chapter lead in gathering and presenting testing metrics/testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
• Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
• Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques within the team.
• Work with Development team and Testing Chapter Lead to develop and execute QA strategies and test plans to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.

This position is responsible for evaluating, designing and delivering solutions within the CorSo technology landscape and project portfolio. In this position, the person is responsible for applying the latest technologies to design real world systems involving processing of large amounts of data and documents, business transactions, and user interactions on various platforms. The person should have strong skills in technical architecture planning, design, and support.
The person will be part of a technical architect team. In addition to design, this position will provide implementation guidance, sometimes produce model code for a much larger developer community for solution delivery. Activities will cover all solution development lifecycle phases, from technical analysis, solution design, development, quality assurance to production induction and support.
The person will collaborate with a local & global team of developers, business analysts, and production support personnel.

About you:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Software QA/ Development or both and understanding of STLC, different testing types and levels (Per ISTQB specifications)
• Should have worked on the testing of applications both at the UI and API layer
• Hands on experience of 6 years or more in Functional Test Automation tools/ libraries such as Selenium (UI) and REST Assured or proprietary tools such as SOAP UI, Ready API -- Mandatory
• Good programming skills in at least one of Java or Java Script languages and good understanding of OOPS
• Should have worked on frameworks such as TestNg, Junit, BDD Cucumber and Page Factory/ Object design patterns
• Ability to develop automation frameworks from scratch and fine tune the existing framework
• Knowledge on Performance testing, related concepts and exposure to tools such as J meter, Load Runner is a plus
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo or Azure DevOps is desirable.
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills
• Prior experience working the AGILE way in SCRUM or KANBAN projects
