Role Description
This role is for a Test Environment Support Engineer (Senior level ) who has a very good hands-on experience in performing all the Support tasks including exposure to team management that should be associated with Test/Production Environments in Banking domain especially in Core banking domain with hands-on experience handling various Test Environment support activities Good Automation hands-on experience is a must , great technical background, efficient management skills at senior level , analytical and problem-solving skills and willing to be part of a team responsible for implementing high-quality, performant , legacy and robust technology. The Test Environment Support Engineer will interact with various teams in multiple locations in order to deliver tightly integrated global solutions & ensure all the team management activities are taken forward in a timely manner . The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and will have a strong sense of teamwork and personal responsibility - this person should be technical strong as self driven but required inputs will be given from next level

• Critical to have very good knowledge and hands-on experience of Test Environment Support activities in Tandem Environment in Banking domain( Senior level ) especially on Core Banking modules with expertise in all areas of Test Environment Support & management of team activities related to Test Environment Building, installations/ Uninstallation of Software components , various interface set-ups , technical testing , timely resolution of all the technical issues & interaction with various stakeholders related to support activities ,should have been experienced working in all these support activities related to core banking modules with excellent Testing skills with good leadership qualities .
• Must have Good Test Automation Hands-on experience for complete test cycle .
• Experience of Working in Core-Banking Modules - with good exposure to System , System Integration (SIT) , User Acceptance Testing with interaction with Technical expertise with some level of Business understanding will be required . Working in Legacy Systems ( Tandem /Mainframes ) will be an advantage.
• Should have excellent Testing Skills having exposure to all levels & types of Testing .
• Should have hands-on experience in legacy Tandem Platform (Similar to Mainframes - strong technical background in Cobol, TAL, TACL, Enform, Enscribe database and OSS on a Tandem mainframe environment.) exposure to the latest technologies including JAVA (latest versions) with RDBMS Oracle-SQL-PL/SQL JDBC , using the tools like IntelliJ, SQL Developer, Fabric-DAP Console, JENKINS, Maven , Exposure to Continuous Integration & Deployment tools, including knowledge on Micro-Services with good hands-on experience in API , SOAP - REST Services with message broker tools like MQ, KAFKA associated with all technical activities or similar is essential.
• In this role, the candidate should have a keen eye for detail, an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude, excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Resource needs to work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and liaise with the development, test teams to identify system requirements and correct test coverage is provided for all the technical testing .
• Need to have hands-on creation of test artefacts all related to technical testing from the initial Test requirements analysis, review , thorough test risk assessments , creations of Test Approach , Test Strategy , Test Plan , Test Case Creation , execution , traceability, defect life cycle , & Test Closure as per the Industry testing standards that should match with the organization testing standards.

Your key responsibilities
As part of our global team you will work on various components as a Test Support Software Engineer(Senior level - 8- 18 years of experience ). The Engineer will be responsible for the DB aspects of the Technical Application framework that supports the Core banking Applications associated with all the technical activities including management of team . We need to build an excellent Technical Team to support our Critical Application and once this has been achieved it could then lead to opportunity beyond this to progress into the more modern aspects of our application.

• Involve in all the Test Environment Support activities starting from Building the Test environments , execution & monitoring of End of Day/Months, users-profiles-security updates & configuration management with good exposure to Tandem Environments.
• Good exposure & hands-on with various interface types - MQ , SFTP , TCP/IP, OSS, API-Kafka etc., including establishing the connectivity , set-up ,E2E support & resolving issues .
• Should have work exposure to support all the aspects of Test Environments from the initial building of systems , installation/Uninstallation of software components , resolving issues .
• Have involved in various technical testing related to test environments including roll back of components & support various stakeholders in various stages of testing .
• Hands-on development experience in Macros , TACL coding and testing of routines to support our application in Tandem Environment .
• Product update to support Automation and Monitoring tools such as Reflex and Multibatch. Enhance monitoring capability to cover more aspects of our applications.
• Good Functional Knowledge in Core Banking domain will be added advantage to timely resolve the functional issues .
• Understand the evolution of our Disaster Recovery strategy, planning and supporting tools, so that this could be implemented in Test Environments .
• Support and development of our Automated Test System Build process.
• Upgrade activities such as MQ Series, Operating System, and Hardware Upgrades.
• Performance and capacity managements aspects of Core banking application.
• Understanding of Network segregation and firewalling (ACR) . General TCP/IP configuration and encryption.
• Update and adherence to application Security Controls.
• Collaborate with teams and individuals across the applications to accomplish common goals.
• Work with the team on non-functional requirements, technical analysis and design.
• Good Testing Skills (All levels & types) with hands-on exposure to Test Automation creation/execution.
• Thorough documentation & maintenance of all the Test Evidences for all the associated technical testing with new techniques to adopt & complete the same as per the Project schedule - will be critical for System, SIT , UAT - Business Testing .
• Engage with technical architects, business analysts, developers and product team to promote system enhancements.
• Track and report test, automation progress to Project Managers, Scrum master as well as system Architect and developers.
• Provide support for technical infrastructure components and actively participate in issue resolutions via QA practices targeting defects/bugs.

Your skills and experience
Senior level Profile with good exposure to Core Banking domain with excellent technical skills in Tandem domain with good testing (Functional & Non Functional areas ) with very good technical skills & exposure to Technical Test Automation of all forms associated to support activities & team people management .

• Good level of experience in the Technical Management of db-Internet.
• Good working knowledge of HPE NonStop Products and Utilities such as FUP, SQL, ENFORM, TACL, TMF/RDF, SCF and Safeguard. Exposure to Pathway components .
• Good working knowledge of OSS and Utilities and directory structures including an understanding of our Ibus Bridge configuration and setup.
• Any knowledge of Java would be advantageous for the future.
• Proven ability to effectively assess and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing project stakeholders and team members.
• Should be experienced & worked in earlier projects (Preferable Work exposure in Core Banking applications) to cater for above mentioned Key responsibilities . Be a Quick learner both Technical - Domain & in Technology. Good Team/People Management skills .
• Good Banking Business Flow knowledge with earlier experience for working in all forms of handling /providing Technical Support activities related to Test Environment management .
• Exposure to Automation development (Experienced & Self Driven ) for complex Banking applications in latest Technology with good adaptability to upskill for changes in technology/tools in these areas.
