Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer - IT Admin with 3+ years of experience to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems and applications. The role involves testing IT infrastructure, validating system configurations, supporting administration tasks, and ensuring smooth operations across servers, networks, and end-user systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Design, execute, and document test cases for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure components.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
Validate system configurations, patches, upgrades, and deployments.
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools.
Conduct performance, security, and user acceptance testing (UAT) where applicable.
IT Administration Support:
Support administration of servers (Windows/Linux), workstations, and enterprise applications.
Test and verify backups, restores, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Assist in managing user access, permissions, and security policies.
Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to identify potential issues.
Support patch management, antivirus updates, and vulnerability remediation.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with IT Admins, Developers, and Support teams to resolve issues.
Prepare test reports, test plans, and system documentation.
Participate in change management and release validation activities.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and industry best practices.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in IT system testing and IT administration.
Strong understanding of Windows/Linux OS, networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
Experience testing servers, applications, and IT infrastructure components.
Hands-on experience with test case design, defect tracking, and test execution.
Familiarity with Active Directory, user access management, and security controls.
Knowledge of backup tools, monitoring tools, and patch management.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
