Principal Accountabilities:

• Provide Validation and verification of test inputs, functional specifications, requirements, Acceptance criteria etc. for testability, ambiguity, and completeness.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts (simple as well as medium) using Civica Test Automation Framework (Selenium+C#+Specflow).
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive automatable scenarios.
• Evaluate existing manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation.
• Run investigations into root-cause analysis of failures using the appropriate tools and recommend solutions to the relevant teams for resolution.
• Manage the production, quality and accuracy of all relevant test artefacts and ensure that these adhere to the Civica Test Policy.
• Produce test artefacts, Test Cases, Expected Results, Actual Results, Defects, Data, Defect Re-tests, and Test Outcome Reports.
• Identify and Assess any risks or issues that threaten the achievement of the testing deliverables.
• Actively seek process improvements and efficiencies.
• Provide input to the Test Planning and Estimating test phases.
• Deputise for the Sr. Test Engineer.
• Provide accurate timely reporting information on progress, risks and issues.
• Able to works under general direction.
• Perform Database, Compatibility, Accessibility Testing etc. in accordance with project plan with the minimal help.
• Build collaborative relationships within the Civica Group both internally and externally to the testing team and with partners.
• Ensure that effective communication is maintained with team members on the same or related projects / product teams to build common goals and avoid misunderstandings.
• Ensure all personally produced test deliverables meet with the Civica Test Policy and Civica Test Framework.
• Champion the testing profession.

Essential Competencies:

• Testing skills and knowledge of current testing techniques across the test phases Knowledge of

o System Testing (Functional Testing)

o System Integration testing

o Regression

o UAT

o Database testing

o Compatibility Testing

o Accessibility Testing

• Solid experience of writing automated tests using Seleniu
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and should be able to apply them in test automation script development.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to write custom logic/algorithm for solving test automation challenges.
• Knowledge of Agile and waterfall development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration.
• Able to use the existing methods and tools post adequate trainings with minimum guidance from seniors by following standard guidelines defined on usage of tools.
• Demonstrate initiative in developing solutions to problems encountered during testing.
• Good in written and verbal communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussions.
• Proactive personality and able to work with minimal direction
• Good team player.
• The ability to work to agreed deadlines.
• Should be a detailed oriented.
• Ability to work at detailed and abstract levels.
• Track record of delivering commitments on time and quality.

Requirements:

Must have minimum 2.5+ years of relevant experience. * Selenium WebDriver - 1.5+ Years

• C#.Net (Preferred) / Java / Other object-oriented programming languages - 1.5+ Years
• Version control tools (SVN/Git/VSTS) - 1+ Years
• Functional testing (Manual) - 1+ Years
• Software testing life cycle and Defect Life cycle - 1+ Years
• BDD (SpecFlow, Cucumber) - 1+ Years
