candidate must have a proven track record in a qa lead role with excellent communication skills, and have solid knowledge of standard testing practices, tools and reporting.

4+ years of experience in testing business processes and complex systems with a solid grasp of the sdlc, qa, and defect lifecycle.
experience in identifying, creating test data and proficiency with test management tools (e.g. jira, quality centre)
automation expertise using a variety of tools, including selenium, testcomplete, and qtp, as well as solid programming knowledge in java and vbscript.
create time estimates and supports/writes high-level testing strategies with feedback from the business and/or the development feature lead.
with the assistance of the qa manager, oversee sites and maintain connections with development and business stakeholders. capable of leading a small team of testers locally, onshore, and nearshore.
collaborates proactively with the qa manager on project status, resources and risks.
reports weekly to the qa manager in form structured reports and informal meetings outlining successes/issues
