Role Summary:

Primary responsibility is to ensure efficient, effective and economic testing of Agile methodology using appropriate techniques. To work as part of the team, integrating closely with the development and management groups to understand the product set to provide high quality output.

Qualification Criteria/Work Experience

Essential:

• ISEB/ISTQB qualified or equivalent in software testing advantageous * Practical experience of using formal Waterfall / V-Model and Agile testing methods
• Sound understanding and experience of full Software Development Lifecycle
• Practical experience of building test environments
• Fluent English speaking and excellent communication skills
• Pro-active approach to problem resolution and inter-team communication
• Demonstrable ability to grasp the relevant software applications to a high level to perform the role.
• Should be able to learn and work on any Automation tool.
• Worked in on-shore off-shore model .
• Work in a scrum team in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of JIRA as defect management tool

Technologies Hands-on Experience (Years) Priority :

Sql or Oracle database knowledge - 0.5+yrs

Agile -SCRUM methodology - 0.5+yrs

JIRA - 0.5+yrs

Desirable: Technologies Hands-on Experience (Years)Priority

Any Automation tool -Selenium preferred - 0.5+ yrs

Overall Project/Task description

• Use structured Manual testing methods to prepare, execute test cases and record the results
• Provide Estimates on time required for preparing test cases and testing the functionality.
• Ability to review and comment on project Requirements and Functional Specifications or Use Cases if project is using Agile or Waterfall frameworks

• Highlighting real time Risks, Issues and Escalation to the manager.
• Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
• Should be closely working with onshore team and development team to understand and test the functionality.
