1. Job Summary



The Territory Sales Officer (TSO) will be responsible for establishing and expanding the retail presence of our wood finish products in the assigned territory. As Marudhar Chemical is entering the retail market for the first time, this role will be critical in developing new retail counters, building strong relationships with dealers, shop owners, and contractors, and ensuring product visibility in the market. The TSO will focus on achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base, and creating awareness about our brand among retailers and end customers.

2. Key Responsibilities



Market Development



Identify and open new retail counters in the assigned territory. Onboard dealers, hardware stores, paint shops, and contractors to expand distribution.

Sales & Target Achievement



Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets. Drive repeat sales from existing customers while acquiring new customers.

Dealer & Retailer Relationship Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, shop owners, and contractors. Educate retailers and contractors about product features, benefits, and applications.

Product Promotion & Visibility



Promote wood finish products to increase brand awareness in the market. Ensure product visibility and proper display through POS material placement (posters, standees, shade cards). Conduct product demonstrations and sampling activities where required.

Market Intelligence



Monitor competitor activities including products, pricing, and schemes. Collect retailer and customer feedback and share insights with management.

Coordination & Reporting



Coordinate with distributors for order supplies, stock availability, and payment collections. Submit daily/weekly sales reports to the Sales Head.

Customer Support



Address retailer and contractor queries promptly. Resolve complaints and provide after-sales support.

3. Qualifications & Skills



Education:

Minimum Graduate in any stream (B.Com / B.Sc / BBA or equivalent).

Experience:

1-3 years in sales (preferably in Paints, Hardware, Building Materials, or FMCG).

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain dealer/retailer relationships. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, ERP tools). Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Target-oriented and self-motivated team player.

Other Requirements:

Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

4. Work Conditions



Job Type:

Full-time, field sales role.

Working Hours:

As per company schedule (generally 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, 6 days a week).

Work Environment:

Field-based role involving extensive travel within the assigned territory.

Travel:

Daily visits to dealers, retailers, and contractors.

Allowances:

Fuel/travel allowance as per company policy.

Reporting:

Daily/weekly reporting to Sales Head.

Probation Period:

3 to 6 months before confirmation.

5. Benefits (optional)
