The Territory Sales Officer (TSO) will be responsible for driving secondary sales, ensuring effective retail coverage, and executing sales and visibility plans within the Kottayam territory. The role focuses on distributor coordination, retailer engagement, and strong on-ground execution.
Experience in FMCG sales is mandatory, with tea category exposure being an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve assigned sales targets for the territory on a monthly basis.
Ensure effective beat planning and complete coverage of retail outlets.
Execute trade schemes, promotions, and visibility initiatives as per company guidelines.
Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
Ensure adequate product availability, correct pricing, and display compliance at outlets.
Collect and share market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, and consumer trends.
Coordinate with distributors for order booking, billing, deliveries, and collections.
Monitor secondary sales, stock levels, and ageing to minimize expiries and damages.
Submit daily sales reports, market feedback, and expense statements to ASM.
Support new product launches and territory-level activation programs.
Key Requirements
Minimum
1-3 years of experience in FMCG sales
(mandatory).
Tea category experience preferred

Strong understanding of distributor-led FMCG operations and retail execution.
Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within Kottayam district.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.
