Qualification: Diploma in Hotel Management (candidates with a degree in culinary arts or a related field will be preferred)
Experience: 10+ years of experience in Teppanyaki cooking, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or leadership role
Job Location: Cochin, Kerala
Salary: Rs. 60,000/- (depending on trial and experience)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Teppanyaki Chef to join our team at
Cochin, Kerala.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and a flair for Teppanyaki cooking. The Teppanyaki Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Teppanyaki dishes, including meats, seafood, and vegetables, to a high standard of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Teppanyaki dishes, including meats, seafood, and vegetables, to a high standard of quality and presentation
- Develop and maintain a menu that showcases Teppanyaki cuisine and meets the expectations of our customers
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked in accordance with our quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and high-quality food
- Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef in a reputable establishment
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and Teppanyaki cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and lead junior chefs and kitchen staff
