The Sr.Tender Engineer will be responsible for managing end-to-end tendering activities for power distribution projects, including 33/11 kV substations, 33 kV & 11 kV overhead/UG lines, LT distribution networks, and EHV estimation. The role requires coordination with project, design, procurement, and finance teams to prepare competitive and compliant bids.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Tender Management
Identify, download, and monitor tenders from portals such as GeM, e-procurement sites, and client-specific platforms.
Review tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and commercial conditions.
Prepare tender checklists, compliance statements, and timelines.
Coordinate pre-bid queries and attend pre-bid meetings.
B. Estimation & Costing
Prepare BOQ cost estimation for:
33/11 kV PSS (substations)
33 kV & 11 kV overhead lines
(PSC pole, PSC+RSJ, UG cable)
LT ABC / LT Line
EHV (66 kV / 132 kV) estimation & evaluation
Estimate material, labour, machinery, transportation charges, taxes, and overheads.
Coordinate with the procurement team for updated material prices.
Prepare rate analysis and cost sheets for technical and financial bids.
C. Technical & Commercial Documentation
Prepare and compile technical bid documents:
Company credentials, work orders, certificates, CVs, QC documents.
Project execution methodology and safety plans.
Prepare commercial bids including BOQ rate submission and financial summaries.
Ensure adherence to all tender formats, checklists, and annexures.
D. Coordination & Follow-ups
Coordinate with engineering/design teams for technical clarifications.
Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for quotations and market rates.
Follow up with internal teams to complete all tender submissions on time.
E. Post-Tender Activities
Participate in bid opening sessions (technical & financial).
Prepare clarification replies to clients.
Assist in documentation for LOA/LOI compliance and contract signing.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and tender portals.
Ability to read engineering drawings and prepare quantities.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of taxation (GST), price escalation, and contract terms.
4. Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
2-6 years of experience in tendering & estimation for power distribution projects.
5. Additional Requirements
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Willingness to attend meetings and coordinate with clients when required.
