The Tendering Manager is responsible for managing the entire bidding process for electrical EPC projects, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals. This role involves coordinating with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to develop cost-effective and technically sound bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Preparation: Analyze project specifications, prepare bid documents, and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with procurement teams to source competitive pricing and ensure quality standards.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in tender submissions and develop mitigation strategies.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify tender requirements and negotiate terms.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes affecting tendering processes.
- Bid Submission & Follow-up: Ensure timely submission of tenders and track progress, responding to queries and clarifications.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine tendering strategies to enhance efficiency and success rates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in tendering within the electrical EPC sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, project management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in tendering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
