Role Overview



The Tender Manager - BD will be responsible for managing the complete tendering and bidding process for Solar EPC projects with Business Developement strategies. This includes tender evaluation, bid preparation, documentation, pricing coordination, vendor management, and strategic business development activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Tender Management



Identify suitable solar EPC tenders from government portals, DISCOMs, PSUs, and private clients. Review tender documents and prepare compliance checklists. Coordinate technical and commercial proposal preparation. Ensure timely submission of bids with full compliance.

2. Technical & Commercial Bid Preparation



Prepare technical proposals, drawings, layouts, and BOQs with the engineering team. Prepare costing sheets, price bids, and financial models in coordination with procurement and management. Analyze project risk, feasibility, and profitability before bid submission.

3. Vendor & Partner Coordination



Source quotations from suppliers for modules, inverters, structures, cables, and BOS. Negotiate pricing and delivery terms to optimize tender costing. Coordinate with contractors for site surveys and technical viability.

4. Documentation & Compliance



Prepare tender documents: PQ forms, affidavits, annexures, deviations, and financial statements. Coordinate EMD/BG submissions, vendor registrations, and online portal submissions. Maintain tender records and MIS dashboards.

5. Business Development



Support BD team with client interactions, presentations, and proposal discussions. Track industry updates, new schemes (PM-KUSUM, Rooftop, C&I, Govt EPC). Build relationships with DISCOMs, consultants, and key clients.

6. Post-Tender Activities



Support in pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and negotiations. Coordinate with internal teams for LOA, contract signing, and handover to project team. Analyze bid results and update management with insights for future tenders.

Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of Solar EPC design, components, and costing. Excellent knowledge of government tendering processes and online portals. Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and tender platforms (GeM, CPPP, DISCOM portals). Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Number of tenders evaluated and submitted. Bid success ratio. Cost optimization achieved through procurement coordination. Timeliness and accuracy of bid submissions. Contribution to revenue pipeline.
