Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:-

The ideal candidate will support our tendering & estimation team by preparing BOQs, rate analysis, tender documentation, and cost estimation for EHV Transmission Line & Substation projects (11kV-400kV). The role involves close coordination with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids aligned with market trends and company goals.

Key Result Areas: -

A. Tendering & Documentation:

1) Prepare and review BOQs, BOMs, and technical bid documentation.

2)Support in technical and commercial bid submissions in line with client requirements (GETCO, PGCIL, DISCOMs, private EPC clients, etc.).

3)Ensure compliance with tender terms, conditions, and specifications.

B. Cost Estimation & Rate Analysis

1) Perform detailed cost estimation of civil, electrical, and structural works related to transmission lines and substations (up to 400kV).

2)Conduct rate analysis using SOR, market trends, and internal cost databases.

3) Benchmark costings against industry standards to ensure competitive pricing.

C. Coordination & Vendor Interaction

1) Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and procurement team to gather updated rates for materials, equipment, and services.

2) Support in negotiations with vendors for competitive quotes.

3) Collaborate with project managers, design, and finance teams for accurate budgeting.

D. Market & Risk Assessment

1) Monitor market fluctuations in steel, cement, conductors, transformers, switchgear, and civil works materials.

2) Assess internal factors (resource availability, equipment utilization, manpower efficiency, financial capacity, organizational risk appetite) impacting project costing.

Educational Qualification:-

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Required Skills:-

Strong knowledge of tendering, estimation, and EPC project costing in Transmission & Substation sector. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software/tools. Familiarity with GETCO, PGCIL, and utility company specifications. Excellent analytical, numerical, and documentation skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities to interact with vendors and internal teams. Ability to work under tight timelines with attention to accuracy.
