Key Responsibilities
Tendering & Bidding
Study tender documents, specifications, and scope of work.
Prepare pre-qualification documents and respond to RFQs/RFPs.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for clarifications.
Estimation & Costing
Analyze drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and technical requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors.
Benchmark costs using market rates and historical data.
Technical & Commercial Proposals
Prepare and submit complete bid packages.
Ensure compliance with technical standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
Optimize costs to ensure competitiveness without compromising quality.
Coordination & Documentation
Liaise with procurement, engineering, and project teams.
Maintain a database of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Track tender results and update management.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of
oil & gas EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
projects.
Familiarity with
piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation works
.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, SAP, AutoCAD, or estimation software
.
Expertise in
tender documentation, BOQ preparation, and bid evaluation
.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple bids simultaneously.
Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Engineering
(Mechanical & Civil or related).
5-10+ years of relevant experience (varies by role level).
