Job Summary
The Temple Manager at Shri Radha Madhav Devasthanam will be responsible for the smooth running of the temple's daily activities, rituals, and administration. This includes maintaining the sanctity of the temple, centered around the worship of Shri Radha Madhav, the sacred Shri Lakshminarayan Peepal tree, and the Panchayatana deities (Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati, Shri Siddheshwar Hanuman Ji, Shri Siddhidatri Durgaji, and Shri Madhaveshwar Mahadev).
The role involves working closely with priests, looking after facilities, organizing events, and engaging with the community to preserve and promote the temple's spiritual and cultural traditions.
Key Responsibilities
o Coordinate with priests to conduct daily pujas, aartis, and special ceremonies
o Oversee the upkeep of the garbhagriha, and temple premises ensure cleanliness, safety, and an inviting environment for devotees.
o Manage donations (with Section 80G compliance), keep accurate records, prepare budgets, and support fundraising for temple upkeep and development.
o Plan and organize festivals, religious functions, and cultural programs
o Train, and supervise staff and volunteers, creating a cooperative and spiritually aligned work environment.
o Build good relationships with devotees and local community members. Organize cultural and educational programs to spread devotion and awareness of temple traditions.
o Handle correspondence, records, and temple communications. Manage the website and digital gallery to keep devotees connected.
o Ensure the protection and maintenance of the ancient Peepal tree and other holy areas, working with experts when repairs or care are needed.
o Address concerns of devotees, staff, or volunteers with fairness, patience, and compassion to maintain peace in the temple environment.
Qualifications
o Bachelor's Degree and good knowledge of Hindu scriptures and traditions is highly valued.
o 2-5 years of experience in temple management, community leadership, or nonprofit administration (preferably in a Hindu temple or spiritual organization).
Skills Required
o Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
o Good communication in Hindi and English (Sanskrit knowledge is a plus).
o Basic financial management and understanding of donations under Section 80G.
o Knowledge of Hindu rituals.
o Basic digital skills for website updates and online communication.
