Job Summary:



We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic

Academic Counsellor

to join our institution. The ideal candidate will guide prospective and current students in making informed academic decisions, assist with course selection, and provide support in achieving their educational goals. This role involves interacting with students, parents, and faculty to foster a supportive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to students regarding academic planning, course selection, and career pathways. Assist in student enrollment and admissions process, offering detailed information about programs, eligibility, and academic policies. Evaluate students' academic backgrounds and recommend appropriate programs or courses. Track and monitor student progress and provide timely interventions when needed. Support students in managing academic stress, time management, and adapting to learning environments. Collaborate with faculty, department heads, and other staff to ensure academic success and retention. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress. Stay updated on institutional programs, curriculum changes, and educational trends. Assist in promotional activities such as webinars, seminars, and education fairs.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's degree Minimum 1-3 years of experience in academic counselling, student support services, or a similar role. (Freshers can also apply) Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written). Ability to empathize and connect with students from diverse backgrounds. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with educational systems and career development resources. Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Attributes:



Passion for education and student development. Experience in an academic or admissions-focused role in a similar institution.
