The candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of railway signaling and telecom systems. This role requires hands-on experience with railway communication networks, signaling protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Telecom Infrastructure Implementation:
Design, install, and commission railway telecom networks including fiber optics, radio communication, GSM-R, VoIP, and SCADA systems.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for telecom infrastructure.
Ensure seamless integration of railway telecom systems with operational networks.
Signaling System Management:
Install and maintain railway signaling equipment such as axle counters, interlocking systems, track circuits, point machines, and block instruments.
Support commissioning and troubleshooting of electronic and relay-based interlocking systems.
Work with Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Train Control Systems.
Project Execution & Site Supervision:
Oversee project execution, ensuring timely completion as per specifications.
Coordinate with Railway Authorities, Consultants, and Contractors for smooth project execution.
Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and documentation for project approvals.
Testing & Compliance:
Perform functional and performance testing of signaling & telecom equipment.
Ensure adherence to safety norms, IRSE standards, RDSO specifications, and railway guidelines.
Maintain technical documentation and submit compliance reports.
Technical Support & Customer Service:
Provide 24/7 on-call support for railway telecom & signaling faults.
Train railway personnel on newly installed telecom and signaling systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
? Bachelor's/Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, or a related field.
? 3+ years of experience in Railway Telecom and Signaling projects.
? Knowledge of Railway signaling principles, relay & electronic interlocking, and telecom networks.
? Familiarity with IRSE/RDSO standards and railway safety protocols.
? Proficiency in CAD tools for signaling drawings and telecom network planning.
? Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under challenging conditions.
? Willingness to travel and work in field/site environments.
