The Telecom Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom and communication subsystems used in railway signalling and train protection systems. The role involves coordination with signalling, electronics, software, and safety teams to ensure reliable, secure, and fail-safe communication between trackside, onboard, and control systems, in compliance with Indian Railways.
Key Responsibilities
Telecom System Design & Engineering
Design and review telecom architectures for railway signalling and safety applications.
Prepare telecom block diagrams, interface drawings, network layouts, and cable schedules.
Select and integrate telecom equipment such as:
Optical Fiber Communication (OFC)
Radio communication systems
Modems, routers, switches, antennas, and RF accessories
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot telecom faults in operational railway environments.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Coordinate with field teams for fault restoration and system availability.

Technical Skills

Train control and signalling communication interfaces
