Job title : Telecom Engineer ELV & Optical fiberExperience : 6 to 15 yearsLocations: Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai:Job Summary:- Experienced Telecom Engineer with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry, delivering robust and compliant telecom and security systems for both onshore and offshore facilities. Adept in all phases of telecom engineering including concept design, FEED, detailed engineering, and technical proposals.Key Responsibilities:Design, specify, and implement telecom and security systems for upstream and downstream oil & gas projects, including:- CCTV and surveillance systems- Access control and perimeter intrusion detection (PIDS)- Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) systems- Structured cabling for voice/data (LAN/WAN), PABX, and telephony- Fiber optic cabling (FOC), VSAT, and microwave systems- Radio communication systems (TETRA, UHF/VHF Marine & Aero, GMDSS, AIS)- High-capacity transmission systems (DWDM, SDH)- Deliver Basic Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Engineering for telecom systems in compliance with international standards and client specifications.- Prepare engineering documents including system architecture diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing, and integration schemes.Conduct technical evaluations, vendor coordination, and support during FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams, site personnel, and EPC contractors to ensure end-to-end system integration and seamless project delivery.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related discipline.- In-depth knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEC, ITU, NFPA, API) and oil & gas telecom best practices.- Hands-on experience with offshore telecom system integration and hazardous area compliance.-Strong documentation, project coordination, and communication skills.- Offshore safety training certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) are advantageous.
