The Telecalling Associate will be responsible for outbound and inbound calling to generate leads, follow up with prospects, and support the sales team by scheduling meetings and collecting preliminary information for insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to prospective clients (individuals & corporates)
Explain basic insurance products such as:
Health Insurance (Retail & Group)
Motor Insurance
SME & Corporate Insurance products
Generate qualified leads and schedule appointments for the sales/relationship team
Follow up on enquiries received through calls, emails, websites, and referrals
Collect and verify basic client details and insurance requirements
Maintain accurate call records, lead status, and follow-up notes in CRM/MIS
Coordinate with internal sales and underwriting teams for smooth handover
Achieve daily/weekly call and lead-generation targets
Maintain professional and ethical communication at all times
Adhere to IRDAI guidelines and company policies
Required Skills & Competencies
Good communication skills in English and local language(s)
Confident telephone etiquette and persuasion skills
Basic understanding of insurance products (training will be provided)
Ability to handle objections and follow up effectively
Goal-oriented with a positive attitude
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, CRM tools)
Qualifications
Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate preferred
Prior telecalling / customer support / sales experience is an advantage
Freshers with good communication skills are welcome
