Job Description

Outbound Calls:

This is a major part of the job, involving making a high volume of calls to a list of potential customers (leads). The purpose can be to introduce a new product, follow up on a marketing campaign, or conduct a survey.

Inbound Calls:

Telecallers also handle incoming calls from customers who have questions, need assistance, or are interested in a product. They act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries.

Lead Generation:

A key objective is to identify and qualify potential leads. This means understanding the customer's needs and determining if they are a good fit for the company's offerings before passing the lead on to the sales team.

Product/Service Promotion:

Telecallers must have a deep understanding of the products or services they are promoting. They explain the features and benefits to customers and persuade them to make a purchase or take a specific action.

Customer Relationship Management:

They build rapport and maintain a positive relationship with callers. This includes addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Data Management and Reporting:

Telecallers are responsible for accurately recording all call details, including customer information, conversation outcomes, and follow-up requirements. They often report on their daily, weekly, and monthly performance against set targets.

Communication:

Excellent verbal communication is essential. A telecaller must be able to speak clearly, concisely, and with a professional, friendly tone.

Active Listening:

This is crucial for understanding customer needs, concerns, and questions, which allows the telecaller to provide appropriate solutions.

Persuasion and Negotiation:

The ability to influence a customer's decision and handle objections effectively is a critical skill for success.

Resilience:

Telecallers face rejection and difficult conversations. The ability to stay positive and professional despite setbacks is vital.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with basic computer programs and software is necessary for data entry and record-keeping.

Time Management:

Given the high volume of calls, telecallers must be organized and able to manage their time efficiently to meet targets.
