The Telecaller is responsible for conducting thorough assessments of school infrastructure, teaching practices, and facilities, both on-ground and virtually. They collect relevant data, including photos, videos, and location information, and ensure that all assessments are documented accurately. The Telecaller plays a critical role in coordinating with internal teams and school authorities, managing data, and providing insights for further school transformation initiatives. They help ensure that the assessments meet the needs of stakeholders and contribute to the successful planning of school projects.
*Key Responsibilities / Task List
1. Assessment Planning
Reach out to School Principal in case of planning on ground assessment
Use standardized assessment checklists and data for schools.
Schedule assessment visits in coordination with the School Identification Person and school authorities.
Collect Images and google location and capture detailed observations during the virtual visit to complement the assessment.
Administer baseline surveys for students/teachers if required.
4. Data Management
Ensure folders are created for Partner Budgets, Images and Presentation
Ensure assessment details, data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reports.
Secure sensitive data and ensure it is stored in a way that is easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
5. Coordination & Support
Work closely with the School Identification to avoid duplication and ensure complete coverage.
Liaise with internal teams (Infrastructure, STEM, CBE) for validation visits or deeper assessments.
Technical Skills for telecaller
Data Collection & Survey Tools
- Using Google Forms, KoboToolbox, or ODK for structured surveys and baseline assessments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Preparing structured reports, presentations, and assessment summaries for stakeholders.
Virtual/Remote Assessment Tools
- Conducting virtual assessments using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms.
Soft Skills for Telecaller
Analytical Thinking
- Ability to interpret school data, identify gaps, and make sense of observations from multiple sources.
Attention to Detail
- Ensuring accuracy in assessments, documentation, geo-tagging, and reporting.
Communication Skills
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication with school staff, internal teams, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
2-3 years of experience in field assessments, surveys, or monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
Experience in education sector assessments (preferred).
Freshers with strong field orientation and analytical skills may also be considered.
