We are looking for a persuasive, empathetic, and goal-oriented
Academic Tele-Counsellor
to join our admissions team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for aspirants seeking guidance on Kerala PSC and UPSC examinations. Your primary objective is to convert inquiries into enrollments by providing expert academic counselling and career roadmap planning.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills in both Malayalam and English and has a genuine passion for helping students navigate their career paths.
Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Conversion
Outbound Counselling:
Call prospective students (leads) who have expressed interest in our PSC, UPSC, or Mentorship programs.
Inquiry Handling:
Respond promptly to incoming queries via phone, WhatsApp, and social media platforms.
Conversion:
Guide students through the enrolment process, explaining the value proposition of our faculty and study materials to meet monthly admission targets.
2. Student Guidance & Support
Need Analysis:
Identify the student's current academic level and career goals to recommend the most suitable course (e.g., Integrated UPSC batch vs. Specific PSC modules).
Exam Awareness:
Provide accurate information regarding exam dates, eligibility criteria, and syllabus updates for various Kerala PSC and UPSC notifications.
Overcoming Objections:
Address student and parent concerns regarding fees, course duration, and success rates with patience and professionalism.
3. Administrative Reporting
CRM Maintenance:
Update and maintain detailed records of all interactions in the CRM software.
Follow-up Pipeline:
Systematically manage a follow-up calendar to re-engage "cold" or "warm" leads.
Market Feedback:
Report common student pain points or competitor offerings to the management team to help refine marketing strategies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
0-3 years of experience in tele-sales, tele-counselling, or educational sales. Experience in the competitive exam industry is a major plus.
Linguistic Skills:
Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory.
Strong command of English is required for UPSC-related counselling.
Product Knowledge:
Basic understanding of the Kerala PSC and UPSC exam hierarchy (Prelims, Mains, Interview).
Soft Skills:
High emotional intelligence, active listening, and a "never-give-up" attitude toward targets.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Lead-to-Admission Ratio:
Percentage of assigned leads successfully enrolled.
Call Quality:
Adherence to the counselling script and accuracy of information provided.
Daily Activity:
Meeting the daily quota for outbound calls and follow-ups.
